I have a proven track record of delivering meaningful results using my writing, social media, leadership, communication, design, fundraising, event planning, content management, and video editing skills.

I’m a Publishing Strategist at HBO Max, where I move the strategic vision for the streaming service forward by scheduling and publishing content. I’m the last line of defense before the shows and movies consumers know and love reach their screens.

I graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Strategic Communication, a cognate in social media management, and a minor in Spanish.

 

Content management

At HBO Max, I schedule and publish content for the streaming app using an internal content management system (CMS). Working with live content in collaboration with a 24/7 team, I maintain the ever-evolving publishing schedule under tight deadlines. I love being a part of a team that delivers such amazing stories to audiences worldwide.

 

Social media

Cultivating virtual communities is a huge part of my personal and professional life. I’ve managed and created social media content for the Human Trafficking Institute (HTI), Liberty University’s School of Communication & the Arts, and various churches and nonprofits.

 

Writing

My first love was writing: From the grades of three to six, I labored over a full-length fantasy/sci-fi novel that I plan to rewrite and publish (or at least bind for my own bookshelf) as a tribute to my younger self. Nowadays, I write for social media, email marketing campaigns, and blog articles.

 

Video

One of my favorite ways to tell a story is through video. Editing footage into a cohesive, compelling story is my forte, whether for a Tik Tok video or a longer YouTube video. I’ve created videos for HTI, Dressember, and other organizations.

 

Design

A big part of social media is visual: How do you convey what your organization is all about using typography, colors, photos, and graphics? I fell in love with graphic design through my social media and branding work.

 

Fundraising & event planning

At HTI, I spearheaded initiatives to engage new donors and retain existing ones. I led the Justice Network, a movement of monthly donors and advocates passionate about decimating human trafficking. I planned and facilitated the launch event for the Justice Network in Dallas, TX in September 2021, which brought in 18 new monthly donors and thousands of dollars in donations. I also spearheaded the 2021 Giving Tuesday campaign, which raised more than $216k—the single biggest giving day in HTI history.

As I refine my craft, I’m learning constantly and forming meaningful relationships every step of the way.

Ever since I wrote a science-fiction novel in elementary school and picked up my first point-and-shoot camera in middle school, I’ve known I want to impact people for good through media. Throughout my college career, I contributed to social media, blogging and promotions initiatives for DressemberAmbassador Bible Church, Phoenix Bikes, CEA Study Abroad, and various Young Life groups.

I’m a strong leader and an experienced social media manager and content creator. I have professional experience as a Publishing Strategist at HBO Max, Social Media & Digital Marketing Coordinator at HTI, Blog Editor & Curator at Dressember, Business Leadership Intern at Chick-fil-A, and Therapeutic Recreation Unit Leader for teens with disabilities at Fairfax County Neighborhood & Community Services.

When I’m not working to deliver quality content to consumers as a Publishing Strategist at HBO Max, you can find me trying a new recipe, burying myself in a good book, or playing board games.
